Lied Music tour, etc.

Just back from Belgium, where the K-RAA-K festival absolutely destroyed my ears. Patty Waters transformed Henry Grimes’ 45 minute bass solo into a shattering version of “I’m So Lonesome”, paralyzing the room with fear and awe. Our own Burning Star Core’s set was also one of the highlights of the festival, laying out the basics of voice, violin and electronics that he’s built so much of his work around. Other stars were the Wooden Wand Corporation, Borbetomagus (who rewired my brain in Paris) and Sir Richard Bishop. Shout-outs to Peter Taylor and Rotterdamnation, Dennis, Carlo, Paul Labrecht, Jelle, Elina, Brian and Thomas in Paris, Laurent, Pierre, Wendy and anyone else that took care of us! Can’t wait to be back….

The Lied Music/Ben Reynolds tour commences next weekend but there’s a local show in Glasgow on Sunday the 12th to kick us off – at McSorley’s, next to the Sub Club, as part of their “Pre-Op” night. The actual tour dates are:
